. . . .and hope it can answer some of your questions about us and what we do. We both are experienced therapists who spent our early careers working in Child and Adolescent Services for the State of Georgia, and thereafter have worked at the Atlanta Area Family Psychiatry Clinic in Sandy Springs in a group practice focused on adults, parents and children, and couples. You can check our individual resumes for detailed information about our professional backgrounds. Recently we have started a small fee for service private practice for adults and couples in Cumming. We also do brief assessments with recommendations for parents and teens. We refer to the Cumming practice under the name Friday Harbour Associates and as part of our group our colleague Dr. LeNora Ashley provides psychiatric services when appropriate. Over the past 35 years our experience has resulted in a practice which includes a mix of practical approaches. We begin by gathering information about the nature and history of the problem, and what has already been tried to resolve the issue at hand. Then we take that information and provide feedback, ideas, and recommendations to address possible changes which might help. We believe the relationship we develop with those we see is important, and provides a way for us to guide and support their goals.

Polly also maintains an active practice of group and individual supervision for professionals seeking clinical licensing and has developed several presentations of interest.
